The invention relates to a fastening system for a motor vehicle seat with at least one padded part made of a foamed material and which is surrounded by at least one upholstered part that is connected to at least one profiled strip which acts as a means of attachment and is provided with hooking elements (14) on the outer side of its periphery. The upholstered part has a longitudinal channel adapted to the shape of the respective profiled strip and includes recesses in a longitudinal direction. Said recesses are used to engage the hooking elements (14), thereby enabling an economical fastening system to be produced. The inventive system is also comfortable for the person using the seat and does not produce any disturbing noise.
