<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pseudo-random number sequence synchronization device that realizes quick synchronization with a simple configuration and to discriminate transmission quality at reception in a digital transmission system, where binary form information is sent in a pseudo-random number sequence. SOLUTION: Synchronization at reception is obtained by loading a code to a shift register 14 of a pseudo-random number generator that receives a transmitted binary signal. The loading is executed, when an error count reaches a value EMAX. Counts of error counters 20, 24 are reset to zero, when the received binary signal number reaches a value LMAX. The disclosed system and method is applicable to a transmission system of a digital television signal.</p> |
