The invention concerns a method applicable to several types of equipment: printer, fax machine, telework terminals, combining a printing mechanism using magnetic ink and magnetising mechanisms with magnetic re-reading so as to send back to the control member the signals of said magnetic re-reading simultaneous with the printing for control, and for sending acknowledgements, and for obtaining documents capable of being authenticated by magnetic ink re-reading.
