The vehicle has an on board computer that has a GPS receiver (1) that provides coordinate position data that is stored in FIFO memory (2,3). A communication link with the vehicle can be made using infra red, radio signals etc. (12). Stored position data is compared with navigation data to allow vehicles to be identified and information displayed (15).
