Internal cladding for screw conveyor carrying bio-wastes

The plastic shell (1) clads the channel (2) of screw (3) conveyors, especially those for bio-waste. The cladding is polyethylene whose dry coefficient of friction is about 0.08-0.10. Preferably the material used is "S" 8000 (RTM). The dry coefficient of friction is preferably 0.09. The cladding is a panel of hot-formed material or may be cold-formed by multiple folding. The wall thickness is 5-20 mm, the diameter 150-1000 mm and the length 0.5-2 m. The polyethylene used has a relative wear index of 75-85 and especially 80, as determined by the sand-slurry method.
