Ointment base has carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt (cross-linking agent), glycerol (plasticizer), Tween-80 (emulsifier), para-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl and propyl esters (preserving agent) and purified water taken at the definite ratio of components. Proposed ointment does not show pathological effect on skin and visceral organs, promotes effective healing skin damaged by herpetic rash for relative short time (below two weeks) and has no any contraindications for using.
