FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: side support has support plate and spherical socket. Support ring with vertical channels for delivering lubricant to sliding surfaces is installed for sliding on support plate. piston is made integral with spherical socket. Piston is installed coaxially with support ring to form chamber above support plate. Chamber is filled with liquid under pressure and is sealed on support plate by cup with rubber insert. Bottom of cup has flat ring part with holes above rubber insert for pressing the latter to support plate by liquid pressure, and convex central part with holes above support plate for levelling pressure in chamber. EFFECT: reduced friction forces in side support at negotiating curved sections of track and elimination of wear of wheel flanges and rail heads. 4 dwg
