FIELD: electric welding. SUBSTANCE: composition of electrode coat can be used for surfacing and welding up of castings of railway spiders and other parts made from high-manganese steels of 11Oâ13ï. brand. Composition of coat includes marble, fluorite, chromium, graphite, potassium carbonate, ferromanganese and nickel powder under following proportion of components, wt.%: marble, 10.0-15.0; fluorite, 4.0-15.0; ferromanganese, 20.0-32.0; graphite, 3.0-7.0, chromium, 34.5-46.5; nickel, 4.0-7.0; potassium carbonate or soda, 0.5-1.5. Coating of electrodes with rods made from low-carbon steel provides for considerable reduction of cost of electrodes and improves technology of their manufacture.
