The invention concerns a feeder (3) associated with a machine manufacturing products in the tobacco industry (1) comprising in particular a tangential gate (2) sequentially supplying an input stock (30) of said feeder. A spike feed roller (37) placed across the latter flux homogenises said distribution, regulating said distribution into short strands and long strands in the tobacco flux arriving through the slide (42) to be made into rolls.
