JASMONIC ACID COMPOUNDS AND PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION THEREOF

Novel jasmonic acid compounds represented by general formula (1): (wherein R is a member selected from the group consisting of C3-C6 alkenyl, C3-C6 alkynyl and C2-C3 hydroxyalkyl; and X is CH2-CH2 or CH=CH). The compounds can be prepared from methyl esters of jasmonic acids corresponding to the compounds and alcohols corresponding thereto through transesterification.
