A blast head (200) for abrasive blasting has a nozzle (15) inside of a nozzle tube (10) for directing a blast media at a surface being treated and a housing (19) for containing the blast media after it passes through the nozzle (15) and for facilitating recirculation of the blast media. The blast head (200) includes the handles (90 and 91), a window (40), nozzle tube window (80), interlock valves (58). A manual operated override valve switch (92) and finger switch (94) are provided next to the handles (91 and 90). An adjustment mechanism facilitates varying of the orientation of the nozzle with respect to the surface being treated, so as to facilitate enhanced blasting thereof.
