The self-propelled machine, to grind down the concrete surface of runways, has a packet of cylindrical grinder disks (3) separated by smaller disks (4). The thickness ratio of the disks is expressed as Wsch=(2.0-5.5)Wf where Wsch is the thickness of the intermediate disks and Wf the thickness of the grinding disks.
