The bow comprises a handle (12) and two flexible branches (10,11). It has two pulleys (1,2), each with three steps (1a-2c). The middle step of each pulley has a groove to receive the bow string (3) which propels the arrow, while the two steps on either side of it have grooves for traction cables (4,7) which pass round projecting tips (5-9) at the opposite end of the bow. The outer pulley steps and end tips are set at a distance from one another which provides a space for the arrow to pass through.
