MANUFACTURE OF PLASTIC PHOTOCHROMIC LENS AND PLASTIC PHOTOCHROMIC LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a plastic photochromic lens which uniformly develops a color without receiving damage on the surface of the lens by a solvent or a deformation in the lens due to a high temperature. SOLUTION: A photochromic substance is turned to a disperse dye, then this disperse dye is dispersed into an aqueous solution and a plastic lens is soaked into the aqueous solution. Thus it is possible to impregnate the lens with the photochromic substance from the surface of the lens and thereby manufacture the plastic photochromic lens.
