RIDGING MACHINE AND RIDGING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ridging machine and ridging method to perform the heaping of soil with a rotary tiller and fertilizing the heaped soil before completing the formation of the ridge. SOLUTION: This ridging machine has a ridging tool 4 attached to the back of a rotary tiller 3 and the soil tilled and heaped with the rotary tiller 3 is formed to a ridge having a prescribed shape with the ridging tool 4. The ridging machine is further provided with a fertilizing pipe 5 to introduce a fertilizer into the soil of the heaped part before completing the shaping of the ridge. The orbit space formed in the soil by the fertilizing pipe 5 is pressed and compacted from the back by the ridging tool 4 to enable the formation of a tough ridge resistant to collapse. Since fertilizer is applied to the soil in the soft ridge before compacting the soil, the moving resistance of the fertilizing pipe 5 with the soil can be reduced.
