PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent pulsation of fuel pressure generated by a high pressure fuel pump from extending to a low pressure piping connected to a low pressure side. SOLUTION: In a high pressure fuel pump which is composed of a casing 1 in which an inlet passage 2 for sucking fuel and a delivery passage 35 for delivering fuel are formed, a cylinder 30 formed in the casing 1, a fuel pressurizing chamber 32 formed on a part of the cylinder 30, and a plunger 31 arranged in the cylinder 30 freely to perform reciprocating motion, and which is formed in such a constitution that fuel is sucked and pressurized from the inlet passage 2 into the fuel pressurizing chamber 32, pressurized fuel is forcibly supplied to a fuel injector of a cylinder injection type engine by delivering the pressurized fuel from the delivery passage 35; a check valve 70 is arranged in the inlet passage 2. |
