PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a writing instrument or the like used for a coating applicator, writing instrument or the like having an excellent dry preventiveness of a pen nib or the instrument or a coating material of the applicator. SOLUTION: In the cap for a writing instrument or the like such as caps A, B of the instrument or the like engaged with a writing instrument body 5 comprising hygroscopic members 19, 20 of previously wet states with using ink or using main solvent of the instrument in cap bodies 1, 3 of the instrument or the like; the members 19, 20 have structures in which the members 19, 20 are not brought into contact with pen nibs 12, 14 of the instrument in the case of engaging the caps A, B with the body 5. |
