PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a low-friction sintered member suitably used for sliding member, etc., capable of exhibiting excellent sliding property over a long period even in the case where lubricating oil is not necessarily used. SOLUTION: A powder of austenite + ferrite type dual phase stainless steel for matrix and a powder of hard alloy for dispersion are mixed together with required auxiliaries, and the resultant powder mixture is compacted and sintered. Subsequently, pores at least in the surface, among pores of the resultant sintered compact, are impregnated with fluororesin. By this method, the low friction sintered member, which is composed of the sintered compact consisting of an austenite + ferrite dual phase stainless steel as a matrix component and a hard alloy as a component for dispersion and where fluororesin is impregnated into pores at least in the surface, can be obtained. |
