<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid golf ball with safety to a human body and environment and excellent in flying performance without marring hitting feelings. SOLUTION: A solid golf ball has a single or multiple layer(s) of core formed by vulcanizing rubber composition containing a base material rubber, a metal salt of alpha, beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid and an organic peroxide and a single or multiple layer(s) of cover formed on the core. The rubber composition contains a diphenyldisulfide compound shown in the formula, preferably bis(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)disulfide. In the formula, three or four of X<1> -X<5> are chloride atoms and three or four of X<1> '-X<5> ' are chloride atoms and the remainders are hydrogen atoms.</p> |
