<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an oligomer capable of giving a dimer from an unsaturated bicycloheptane derivative and/or an unsaturated bicyclooctane derivative in high selectivity and high yield. SOLUTION: A raw material containing an unsaturated bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane derivative and/or an unsaturated bicyclo[2.2.2]octane derivative is oligomerized by using a phosphoric acid-based catalyst, e.g. polyphosphoric acid and reacting at <=100 deg.C.</p> |
