The invention concerns a pump impeller of a centrifugal- or a half axial type me ant to pump liquids, mainly sewage water. According to the invention, the pump impeller comprises a hub (1) provided with one or several vanes (2) the leading edges (3) of which being strongly swept backwar ds.
