PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust form being attached to a polygon mirror and to increase durability of a driving source thereof by a method wherein a rotational speed of the polygon mirror is controlled to be lowered during the initial driving operation and, in particular, the controlling of the rotational speed of the polygon mirror is executed along with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: When a rotational speed of a scanner motor 2 reaches a rated rotational speed, a laser light is emitted from a semiconductor laser device 3 and is modulated to be corrected by various lenses 4, then the laser light is scanned on a photosensitive body 5 of an image carrier body by a polygon mirror 1. As the photosensitive body 5 is charged by a charging device 11, a latent image is formed thereon by the scanning of the laser light and a toner image is formed by a developing device 6. At the same time, one sheet on a sheet loading tray 8 is separated therefrom by a separating roller 9 to be conveyed. After the inclined advancing of the sheet is corrected by a conveying roller 10, the sheet is conveyed to a transferring device 7 by meeting with the timing of the photosensitive body 5. The toner image is transferred on the sheet and the image is fixed by a fixing device 12. |
