PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste gasifying method and device in which economical operation can be done even when the treated quantity is small. SOLUTION: In a gasifying chamber 1 in which a rotating liquid slag bath 2 is housed, waste is gasified. By introducing a gasifying agent and/or at least part of the waste from the tangential direction of the rotation, the rotation is generated in the slag bath 2. The waste of <5 mm particle size is introduced into the gasifying chamber 1 above the slag bath 2, and the waste larger than that is directly introduced into the slag bath 2.
