PURPOSE:To prevent an irregularity in the phase relationship between a reproducing origin signal and a reproducing incremetal signal by a method wherein an origin signal which appears during a sampling operation or the AND output of an origin signal and an incremental signal is held and it is transmitted in a next sampling operation. CONSTITUTION:Incremental signals A, B which have been shaped to square waves are converted into quadruple pulses and an up-down signal by a quadruple-pulse + direction-detection circuit 40, and they are input to an up- down counter 5. In addition, a positional data signal Z which has been waveform-shaped by a waveform shaping circuit 4c and the signal A are input to an AND circuit 71, and a signal Z1 whose logical product has been created is output. The signal Z1 is input to a Z-phase hold circuit 70, and it is held until a next sampling signal comes. Then, a signal Z2 is input to a parallel-to- serial converter 6. Consequently, even when an origin signal whose pulse width is narrow so as to be put during a sampling operation at a high-speed rotation comes, the pulse width can be expanded until a next sampling operation. |
