<p>PURPOSE:To enable simplification of working for diagnosis by including a mosaic degree detection means to determine a degree of change in the direction of a blood flow from information in a color image memory and a turbulence judging means which compares a degree of change detected with a specified value to judge whether a turbulence exists at a measuring point to determine and display an area of the turbulence. CONSTITUTION:Information on a direction of a blood flow within a blood flow area is held into a color image memory 1 as color display information. For example, pixel information within a fixed range centered on a pixel at a measuring point is checked from information of the color image memory 1 by a mosaic degree detection means 2 to determine a degree of change in color within the range, namely, a degree of a change in the direction of the blood flow. Then, by a turbulence judging means 3, the degree of the change determined is compared with a specified value preset and when the degree of the change is larger, a turbulence at the measuring point is determined to exist. For example, a point of the turbulence is counted and when a measurement within the fixed range ends, counts are displayed as area of the turbulence automatically.</p> |
