When staking out a determined height level, there are driven into the ground surveyors rod assemblies which include a base rod (2), which is driven into the ground, and a marking rod (1) which is fitted onto the base rod (2), and a height marker (3) placed on the marker rods at said determined first height level (H). After having been driven into the ground, the base rods (2) are cut-off at a second height level (FM) which lies at a given distance (A) beneath the first level (H). The marking rods (1) are given an effective length (A) corresponding to the distance between the first level (H) and the second level (FM) and are provided with an abutment means (4) for contact with the cut end of the base rod. The marking rod (1) is detachably connected to the cut base rod (2) by means of a suitable join. |
