CALCIUM PHOSPHATE CEMENT AND CALCIUM PHOSPHATE CEMENT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium phosphate cement and a calcium phosphate cement composition relatively short in hardening time, excellent in shaping property and hardly generating the collapse of a kneaded body even in filling direct after kneading. SOLUTION: The calcium phosphate cement contains a calcium phosphate power having <=20 μm average particle diameter and >=35% tap density and a polysaccharide, particularly a dextran sulfate such as sodium dextran sulfate having 0.1-100 μm average particle diameter. The calcium phosphate cement composition contains the calcium phosphate powder and a kneaded solution composed of an aq. solution containing 30-60 wt.% dextran sulfate such as sodium dextran sulfate, potassium dextran sulfate. As the calcium phosphate powder, one consisting essentially of the equal molar quantity of tetracalcium phosphate powder and calcium hydrogen phosphate powder is preferably used.
