Door edge cover profile for burglar proofing by minimizing casing gap

The extruded aluminum profile (10) is screwed to the edge of an outward opening door (6). The profile is tapered from outer side (10a) to inner side (10b) and is lipped (10c, 10d) round the front and rear faces of the door. The degree of taper depends on the door thickness and the distance from hinge (4) to the inner side of the door edge (10b) to minimize the 2mm gap at the outer side.
