The tractor type mower is fitted with a rotary cutting head (3), mounted centrally beneath the tractor. The cuttings are driven through a conduit (6) into the collector (5), by a fan (4). The fan is driven in rotation, independently from the cutting head, and is mounted to the rear of the cutting head, in the mouth of the collector, in order to reduce the noise of its operation as much as possible.
