INDUCTION PROMOTER GENE AND SECRETORY SIGNAL GENE USABLE IN DOLLAR I(SCHIZOSACCHAROMYCES POMBE), EXPRESSION VECTORS HAVING THE SAME, AND USE THEREOF

An induction promoter gene and a secretory signal gene which are usable in Schizosaccharomyces pombe; expression vectors respectively having these genes; S. pombe transformed by these vectors; and a process for producing foreign proteins by using these transformants. The above induction promoter gene orginates in a gene moiety relating to the catabolite repression by the expression of S. pombe invertase precursor. It is usable in regulating the expression of a foreign protein structural gene depending on the presence/absence of a specific nutrient. The above secretory signal gene is a gene encoding the secretory signal of S. pombe invertase precursor. It is usable in the extracellular secretion of a foreign protein.
