<p>The arrangement operates with an antenna (AN), e.g. deployed in a building, and cyclically enables receiving (AT2) and sending (AT1) of information. The antenna is connected to an amplifier (5) so that amplification takes place in both the send and receive cycles, using switches (30,31,32) across the amplifier. The switches route the signals appropriately according to signals from a control unit (4). Preferably the transmission lines are formed by optical fibres serving to connect the offset unit to a main cordless telephone base station. The switching takes place in synchronism with a clock signal recovered from the main base station.</p> |
