The roof has a guide frame (14), cover (12) and seal (13) formed as a preassembled integral modular unit in which the seal closes off the gap between the edge of the cover and one edge of the guide frame. When the modular unit is installed the guide frame is sealed in relation to the rigid roof surface (10). The guide frame is screwed to the rigid roof surface or to a connecting frame (15), with a bead of adhesive (21) providing additional sealing between the fastened components.
