To seal the fuel injection valve (1) at the combustion side of the cylinder, in an internal combustion motor, a thin O-ring (6) is attached to the jet body (7) before it is installed which burns and disintegrates while the motor is running. The O-ring (6) centres the ring seal (4) on the jet body (7), through chamfers at the seal which hold the O-ring wholly or partially.
