Spraying unit, especially for delivery of deicing fluid onto road or runway

The spraying device has at least one telescopic spray unit fitted on a support structure with telescopic arm (36) extending and retracting at right angles to the direction of motion of the vehicle. A number of spray nozzles (52) are located in series in the longitudinal direction of the arm. Two spray units may be fitted on the support structure and the telescopic arms are movable in opposite directions. The telescopic arm of one spray unit forms a support structure for at least one additional spray unit rigidly fitted to it. Independent claims are also included for a procedure for spraying of the deicing fluid in which the telescopic arms are extended by a desired amount at right angles to the direction of motion.
