Waste water treatment assembly separating sludge and oil from industrial effluent

A waste water treatment assembly (1) separates sludge and oil from water effluent. A water overflow (6) discharges into the vessel with a first coarse separation chamber (4), discharging to a second fine separation chamber. The second chamber is sub-divided by a panel separator (8) into an oil separator on the inlet side and an outlet chamber on the outlet side. The panel separator (8) has a downward-inclined passage linking the two chambers with a number of separation slats in line with the direction of flow. The assembly includes: (a) the panel separator (8) which is incorporated as an integral part of a dividing wall (15) inserted within the fine separator chamber (7); (b) the passage between the two chambers which is covered by a number of pre-fabricated panels, each consisting of a series of slats; and (c) the slats which are inclined both in the horizontal and vertical planes.
