PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal which can report effect that handset is not on-hook after an extension calling is completed. SOLUTION: When a handset 4 is not on-hook within a specific time after a call end command is received from a cordless telephone set 5 and an extension calling is completed, facsimile equipment body 2 makes a monitor speaker 23 ring an alarm sound and, at the same time, a speaker 47b of the cordless telephone set 5 ring the alarm sound. Because of this, a person nearby the facsimile equipment body 2 can know that the handset 4 is not on-hook. Therefore, by this alarm sound, it is possible to make the handset 4 on-hook. In addition, the alarm sound is rung from the cordless telephone set 5 as well. Thus, a person nearby the cordless telephone set 5 can also know that the handset 4 is not on-hook.
