PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body fat meter capable of accurately measuring body fat and measuring a body fat rate for the respective hypodermal part and internal part, etc., of a human body. SOLUTION: Electrode pairs 1-6 are provided with an almost equal interval on the inner side of a winding belt 9 wound around the abdominal part of a patient. The respective electrode pairs 1-6 are respectively provided with a current path formation electrode and an electrode for measurement, the two electrode pairs are selected from the electrode pairs 1-6 and a current path is formed by making weak AC flow between the current path formation electrodes of the selected two electrode pairs. The electrode for the measurement measures impedance in the formed current path and the impedance is measured by successively selecting the two from the electrode pairs 1-6 in a time division manner. Since the current paths following various routes are formed on the cross section of a measurement part by the combination of the selected electrode pairs, visceral fat in the abdominal part or the like is selectively measured. |
