<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reduce the amount of warp of a glass substrate and to reduce the irregularity of gaps. SOLUTION: In this display device, a first substrate 102, which has a thin film layer 104 on the surface that opposes the surface close to a liquid state display medium, and a second substrate 101, which has a pixel region that becomes an effective display region 107, are arranged opposing to each other through a liquid crystal display medium 106. The layer 104 has a shape to directly cover the region 107 and is formed in the smaller region having an area less than the area of the one side surface of the substrate 102. Moreover, a thin film layer 105 is also formed to directly cover the region 107 of the substrate 101 and is formed in the region having the area smaller than the one side surface of the substrate 102.</p> |
