PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inertia force drive-type motor that can surely rotate in a desired direction, set the desired direction in both directions, and firmly maintain an arbitrary rotary position. SOLUTION: An electromagnet 15 is provided so that it is brought into contact with a rotor 11, where an inertial body 13 is installed via a piezoelectric element 12 that can be expanded and contracted and a rotary base which is constituted by a magnetic body is provided. When a rotary force for allowing the rotor 11 to be rotated in a direction opposite to a desired rotary direction is generated by expanding and contracting the piezoelectric element 12 or a rotary position is maintained, a large magnetic attractive force is generated by the electromagnet 15, and frictional force generated between the rotor 11 and the electromagnet 15 is increased. Also, when the rotary force for allowing the rotor 11 to rotate in desired directions is generated, the magnetic attractive force generated at the electromagnet 15 is made small, and the frictional force is reduced. |
