PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkenyl-substituted pyridines. SOLUTION: This method for producing an alkenyl substituted pyridines comprises carrying out alkenylation of alkylpyridines having hydrogen atom at the α-position of a side chain with a conjugated diene by using a solid base obtained by heating and treating a metal oxide selected from an alumina, an alkaline earth metal oxide and hydrotalcite with an alkali compound, an alkali metal, or an alkali compound and a hydrogenated alkaline metal in an inert gas atmosphere within a temperature range of 100-700 deg.C as a catalyst. |
