PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a temperature control optimum to a heater while suppressing wastage of power consumption, memory overflow, and so on. SOLUTION: In the fixing device, the heater 4 is turned on by turning-on of a power source or a command for fixing, and heat control is exerted by a control part 2 so that it has an initial set temperature during a standby period of a fixing temperature for a fixing operation. Further, according to the gradient of the increase of a page memory monitored by a monitoring part 1, the control part 2 variably controls the timing of shift to on/off duty control for the heater 4 at the monitored temperature. Thus, the heat control is exerted to the fixing device according to the gradient of the increase of the page memory. |
