PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and efficiently form a pneumatic radial tire equipped with a reinforcing layer. SOLUTION: In a pneumatic radial tire, a reinforcing layer 15 is made up of wavily bent beltlike bodies 17 in which a plurality of reinforcing elements 18 are covered with covering members 19 spirally wound round a plurality of turns in the circumferential direction while mutually abutting on the side edges thereof in the width direction. The beltlike bodies 17 have a high bending rigidity, and also the reinforcing elements 18 can be simultaneously wound around as many as the numbers embedded in the beltlike bodies 17 by winding of one turn, so that the winding work can be facilitated and also the working hours can be shortened. |
