PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow control of a life vest so that wearer floats face up in the water even when one side of the vest does not inflate. SOLUTION: This vest is made by overlapping and connecting hook shaped portions 12, 22 of two inflatable portions, each having a hook shaped portion 12 or 22 that wraps at least partially around the neck, and chest portion 11, 21 that is connected to the hook shaped portions and extends to the trunk of the body. At least part of the inner sides 111, 211 of the chest portion are such that they project in the opposite directions past the center line of the wearer. As a result, because the inner side of the inflatable chest portion projects the center line, this life vest is able to provide control so that the wearer floats in the water face up, even if one side of the vest does not inflate. Further, it is possible to correct the tilt of the head by enlarging the capacity of one of the inflatable shoulder portions from that of the other shoulder portion. |
