<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device, in which a sequence for moving a cover body downwards under the state that a parallel state is maintained for an original reading surface in a copier, etc., is ensured. SOLUTION: The hinge device consists of a support member 107 fixed and installed to a main body, a rotary member 104 pivotally supported onto the support member and a first link member 102 and a second link member 3, in which each one end is supported rotatably at a separate place on the rotary member 104 and the other ends at separate places on a cover-body mounting member 9. Since a cam 102a is mounted on an installing section to the rotary member 104 of the first link member 102, a pin 116 set up to a lock arm 105 limiting the revolution of the rotary member 104 and the linear section of the cam 102a are abutted and the movement of the link is limited at that time, the opening angle of a cover body is maintained largely when the cover body is closed from the opened state to the main body and the cover body is narrowed at a small angle, and the angle is minimized when the cover is closed onto the top face of the main body under a contact state.</p> |
