<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coping made of aluminum, bonded to the upper surface of a wooden skeleton, such as the peripheral raised part of a wooden verandah, in order to enhance the water resistance and appearance of the skeleton. SOLUTION: A coping comprises: a first component 11 made of aluminum, which covers the upper surface of a wooden skeleton (a) partly from one side of the skeleton (a) along its cross direction while securing a space therebetween, and which has an upwardly curved flashing 17 formed at its end; and a second component 19 made of aluminum, which covers the upper surface of the skeleton (a) from the other side along the cross direction to a position beyond the flashing 17 while securing a space therebetween, and which has a shield plate 23 formed at its end, the shield plate 23 being spaced from the flashing 17 and curved downward so that the end of the shield plate 23 hangs down to a position spaced from the first component 11.</p> |
