COPOLYMER, PRODUCTION OF THE SAME, IMPROVEMENT OF THE SURFACE OF HYDROPHILIC POLYMER, PRODUCTS HAVING IMPROVED SURFACE AND USE OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a copolymer avoiding and suppressing adhesion, growth of bacteria useful for hygiene, industries, foods industries, biotechnology, especially for medical fields, catheter, lymphotic drainage, bandage, tube, valvular, etc., by containing specific monomers. SOLUTION: The compolymers is obtained by containing (A) one or more kinds of monomers containing sulfonic acid group or sulfonate group (e.g. sodium-p-styrene-sulfonate), (B) one or more kinds of monomers containing carboxyl or carbonate group (e.g. maleic acid) and (C) at least a kind of monomers containing a group reactive to NCO (e.g. hydroxy-ethylmethacrylate). The copolymer preferably contains monomers having different functional groups to the prescribed monomers or monomers having no functional groups up to 70 mol.% of the sum of monomer A, B, C.
