BI-DIRECTIONAL CABLE COMMUNICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform point/multipoints communication while coping with the addition of a system in a bi-directional cable communication method and a device. SOLUTION: A down-channel 0 and up-channels 1-4 are provided on a cable communication network between a master station 40 and slave stations 41-47. The down-channel 0 occupies a band for a television one channel. The up- channels 1-4 respectively occupy one part of up-channel bands 10, 12, 12 and 13 which occupy a band for a television one channel. The signal of the down- channel 0 includes information indicating the available up-channels 1-4.
