<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the angle measurement performance of a radar by adding a phase shifter to a receiver system, detecting azimuth by shifting for the phase variation by the phase shifter, avoiding more than two targets to be the same angle in the left and right seeing from the signal processor of an FM-CW radar and making it possible to exactly measure the azimuth of the targets. SOLUTION: This radar is provided with an oscillator 6, a power distributing means 7, a transmission antenna 8, the first and the second antennas 9a and 9b, the first and the second phase shifters 17a and 17b, a monopulse comparator 10, the first and the second fundamental wave mixers 11a and 11b and a signal processor 15 obtaining the distance, relative velocity and azimuth of the target. By this, even in the case two targets have the same angle, the same velocity and the same distance, the azimuth of both can be exactly derived and improvement of angle measurement performance becomes possible.</p> |
