PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve spatial resolution by generating a second reception signal along a prescribed scanning line from a first reception signal along plural different scanning lines obtained by a transmission/reception means so as to output an image. SOLUTION: Based on an inputted scanning line switching signal and a control clock, a counter 2050 prepares three scanning lines L0 to L2, for example. Their scanning line data is written in each scanning line data FIFO 2051 to 2053 and sent to a displacement arithmetic part 2054 and a second order differential arithmetic part 2055 to obtain the displacement (d) of a target. In addition, target intensity is obtained. Then, a noticing scanning line such as displacement data (d) on L1 is inputted to a high resolution making differential luminance arithmetic part 2064 to execute prescribed arithmetic processing here to generate new scanning line data expressing a received ultrasonic beam with a small beam diameter. Thereby, small spatial separation is executed to improve the spatial resolution. |
