COMPLEX FINE PARTICLE, ITS PRODUCTION AND USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain complex fine particles excellent in weather resistance and stain resistance and capable of providing cured film having transparency and hardness by combining inorganic fine particle with an organic polymer and including an ethylenic unsaturated group. SOLUTION: The fine particles are obtained by combining inorganic fine particles with an organic polymer and further contains an ethylenic unsaturated group (e.g. terminal vinyl group, allyl group or ethylene group). The ethylenic unsaturated group is preferably indirectly bound through bifunctional organic group to the inorganic fine particles and/or the organic polymer at a binding site, preferably on the surface of inorganic fine particles. The ethylenic unsaturated group content is preferably 0.01-100 mmol/g per g complex fine particles. The fine particles has preferably 5-200 nm average particle diameter and preferably <=50% coefficient of variation of particle diameter. Thereby, dispersibility and addition polymerization property can be imparted to the complex fine particles.
